Can we take our 6 month old on this ride? If not, how ould that work so we can both go but not wait in line twice? Thanks

I took my DD2 on the safari when she was an infant. It was fine but I would suggest that you hold tightly when it gets rough. I made certain that her head was supported and I was a bit nervous about it. She thought it was great and giggled the entire time.

Yeah I was just thinking how much babies love to be jiggled. DH and I think its hilarious since they are so delicate looking, but the more you bounce them, the funnier they think it is. :)

Unless there are some restrictions, watch their heads, hold on tight and enjoy!

There's no age or height requirement for the Safari. The ride is VERY bumpy, though. It is highly recommended (in fact, your tour guide will announce this) that you place small children in the middle of the seats and away from the open ends of the benches. If you are the first to enter your row of the vehicle, have the two adults enter and then put the infant to the right of the second adult. If you are the last to enter your row, put the infant to the left of the first adult. And then whoever has the infant next to them, hold on very tightly. There will be more stops and sudden starts than anything.

The Safari is one attraction that my two year old grandson can go on and I can't because of a medical problem.

If you're lucky, the rocking motion might even put your baby to sleep! That's what happened when we took our then-15-month old on it! He got a great nap on the Safari!

Yep, we took our 9 month old on it and he loved it. One bit of advice from my experience: the biggest person should hold the baby on the ride. I'm tiny - 5' and small-boned - and get bounced around a LOT on KS. No way could I have held myself in place and held on to my DS!

I took my son who was 8 months old on it. I had one of those carriers so that helped but as others said i had to just snuggle him a little more.

I used one of those carriers. I worked great ! That held her close to me so all I had to worry about was her head. She loved it!:cutie:

A sling would be perfect for taking a baby on KS. I'm sure she'll have a great time!

DS went on it twice when he was 5 months old. He fell asleep both times. Now if only I could get one of those trucks to drive through my neighborhood at 2:00 AM when he decides to wake up and play...

Just returned from WDW this morning and we took our 5 week old on the Kilimanjaro Safari once last Saturday and once yesterday. I held her close and she bounced along with the rest of us...no worries at all! Have fun!

On the trip we just got back from, my DS who is 9 months old fell asleep on the safari in DW arms. I would not worry.

I had the same question a couple weeks ago. I opted to not take our twin infants on KS. Not so much for the bumpiness, but because I wasn't sure if they would go through the entire ride without crying. Shows are one thing. You can always leave if they get fussy. I didn't want to spoil the ride for other guests.

We took my baby sister when she was one year old on Kilamanjaro Safari and she loved and had lots of fun.

I bet your baby will love it. As has been said, it's bumpy. If you have a snugli where you can put him/her facing forward with his back against your chest that would be perfect for this.
