If it were anyone else, I wouldn't believ it. However, since The Great and Powerful Robo doesnt know, I'll assume it's truth.

I'm attempting to get basic plans together for our May trip, but I don't know whether I need to hang out at AK all day or not.

Rivers of light is a new night time spectacular coming to AK and it will open in 2016.

They are in full construction right now prepping viewing areas and installing AV equipment.

There was at one point something I read that said ROL would be in March of 2016. Later saw "Early to mid" 2016. I think the plan is to get that open before Pandora.

Yes that's what I've heard they want it open before pandora. Pandora is looking to now open in late 2017.

Tom Staggs did mention on the blog early 2017 not that it wont open later than that he did say early

it's possible but they are just starting large concrete pours now they have yet to go vertical on anything. There is a poster on WDWmagic that works for the concrete company working on his project and they said they have been working on small pours with large pours starting anytime now and that was a week or two ago.
