When we were there a couple of years ago, we waited in front of the entrance to the Safari ride....(at the suggestion of the CM that was at the entrance).

The parade comes out from the large gate/doors right next to the ride... plus they close off the entrance to the Safari during the parade, so as soon as the parade is over, you can walk right on the ride with no wait. It was great.
