AK or another day at Epcot?

Ok, help. I am just torn at what to do. I have all my other days planned, but am still at a loss over whether to do AK for a full day or add another day onto Epcot (for a total of 2 full days). I keep going over the pros/cons for both and really can not decide. We do not have the park hoppers, so that is not an option. My DH would rather do Epcot again and my DD doesn't care either way, so I am the deciding vote. Here is what I reckon so far:

AK: Cons: Not big fans of animals plus have amazing zoos nearby. DD can't do EE and is not into bugs AT ALL. Will have already seen Mick and Minn at dinner. Is not into Pocohontas and has already seen Lion King on Broadway. Have already done the carnival thing ad nauseum.
Pros: beautiful scenery, will be decorated for Christmas, nice parade. Boneyard and safari.

Epcot: Cons: already doing 1 full day, will DD be interested again? (that's the only con I can think of!)
pros: DH and I LOVE Epcot and DD loves exploring and learning new things. Is currently taking Spanish lessons.

I guess I have rationelized in my head that we would probably be happier at Ecpot, but I keep thinking that there is something I am going to miss at AK. :confused3

So after that long ramble, what exactly am I asking???? I guess whether anyone has skipped AK and regretted it or whether they have spent two whole days at Epcot and regretted it? Why for all that is good and holy is this so darn difficult!!!

Why not do a half a day at AK to see all the decorations and take a bus over to EPCOT. You could even do 3/4 of a day at AK since EPCOT is open alot later than AK. This way you won't miss a thing. Christmas is a great time to be down there and to not see the AK decorations is a mistake. IMO

Have a great trip wish it was me

Well, do you WANT to visit AK? If so, go! Then leave and head to Epcot when you're done. :) If you don't want to visit AK, spend a second day at Epcot. There's plenty there to fill up two leisurely days.

Sometimes overanalysing these things gets in the way of what you already know you want to do (or not do). ;)

Obviously the previous two posters missed the fact that you don't have park hoppers, and therefore can't leave AK to go to Epcot. I'm surprised, though, that you say you don't care much for animals and have great zoos nearby, yet want to see the safari. :confused3 Anyhow, that being said, I think AK is nothing at all like a zoo; I think it's a gorgeous park with lots to offer, but I think you're really leaning towards Epcot. If it was me I'd stay a whole day at AK and two full days in Epcot. But realizing you can't do that, you probably should spend the two days in Epcot ... World Showcase is amazing!

You can still visit both parks, you'd just need another Day on your pass or an upgrade to Hopping for your last day. Depending on how long you're staying, it may be cost-effective to have that extra day. And just because you don't have Hopping on the whole thing doesn't mean you can't add it for your last day (which would then allow you to do both).

I vote for Epcot.

I have small kids & on our last trip we only did AK one am & MGM one am (which would have been 1 day on our park hopper) & the other 4 days we spent at MK & Epcot.

It took my kids 2 days just to do the mask (they were 4 & just shy of 2).

But that is me & I love Epcot that & my kids loved Illuminations. We watched that probably 4 out of the 5 nights & then watched Wishes at the Poly when we got back (and one night in the MK & one night at the CR).

AK isn't going anywhere which is my motto so I figure if I see 1 or 2 new things on each trip I am good.
