AK on the 4th?

We (family of 7) were going to avoid all parks on Mon, July 4, because of the crowds and maybe hang out at DTD...but after careful thought, I'm thinking that maybe going to AK won't be too bad. I read that this is one park that they don't do fireworks due to the animals...so would that mean that there MIGHT not be too huge of a crowd during the day? What do you think? From there, I'm thinking of dinner at Ohana's to watch fireworks from restaurant or beach. Any opinions on this plan for the day would be appreciated.

Touringplans.com has AK and Epcot as the best parks to go to on July 4th.
The only park we've been to on the 4th is MGM, which wasn't bad crowd-wise, but we weren't really trying to go on rides...
