AK NYE crowds

We have been to MK on New Year’s Eve so I am familiar with the crowd level. Has anyone been to AK during the day on NYE? If so, how were the crowds? We have no intention of participating in the NYE festivities this to time, but we are trying to still enjoy a park that day if possible.

We were at HS this past NYE, and the comments were: smallest NYE it will ever be again at HS with Galaxy’s edge coming in. When we were going from AK lodge on bus to HS at 9 am we saw the Road into MK and let’s just say: jaws dropped. It was insane. So of the four parks, AK is best option, however I would bet based on this years experience the park will close around 10. I’ve never seen parks so busy as that week. The end of FOP line and end of Kilimanjaro lines were almost the same spot.

FYI - just saw the announcement that AK will have a NYE party and several DJs and be open until midnight. Too bad I am dying to spend NYE in the craziness of Epcot haha!
