It's a 4yo girl, 40 inches, who's usually decent about trying new things and rarely cries when she's surprised or get's a boo-boo.

Feel free to group into "must do's", and "good to pass time", before, perhaps, Tusker House reservations.

My kids at that age really enjoyed Festival of the Lion King, Kilimanjaro Safari's, and playing in the Boneyard. Triceritops Spin was fun, but it's basically Dumbo. Other attractions were dependent on whether or not they were tall enough to ride at that age. My oldest was always tall for her age, so she was riding everything at that point, where my others were waiting out rides with mommy or daddy. If your child enjoys animals there's always the animal trails and Rafiki's Planet Watch, where they can brush goats and sheep. I'd take a look at the rides and attractions available for her height and see what interests her.

Must Do's - Flights of Wonder, Festival of the Lion King, Kilimanjaro Safari - Flights and Festivals are both great shows that my (then) 4 year old still talks about 2 years later and the Safari is amazing

Good to Pass the Time - Kali River Rapids, Boneyard, Dinosaur, Rafiki's Planet Watch, animal trails

My son loved the Nemo show!!!
Also Tusker House, Safari, Rafiki's Planet Watch, getting up close to Tree of Life and looking at carvings, playing in Boneyard, and NRJ in Pandora.

Safari, Lion King, Nemo would be my top 3.

My kids are 5 and 3 (and not adventurous with big rides) and they also really like Triaceratop Spin (Dumbo/Magic Carpets clone), digging for bones in the boneyard, Rafiki's planet watch, walking the trails to look at animals, ... Overall, AK is their second favorite park (to MK).

Pick up a Wilderness Explorer's book on your way in. My DS loved this activity and loved collecting the stickers as we made our way through the park.

Attractions I would do:

Nav'i
Safari (must-do)
Festival of the Lion King
all of the animal trails
Rafiki's Planet Watch
Flights of Wonder
Nemo
Triceratop Spin
Boneyard

Attractions I would avoid with a 4-year old:

It's Tough to Be a Bug
Dinosaur

Flights of Wonder for sure. My kids love that show. It's the show that made me fall in love with Disney World. Just the look of sheer joy on my 5 year olds face. I took a look (and a picture) and I've been hooked ever since.

for my group they would vote to avoid Nemo show. all of them hated it and most of the boys loved Tough to be a Bug. the boneyard was another favorite at that age esp for 4.5 granddaughter last year

I'm going with a 2yo and 4yo. Our must our safari, lion king and navi.

I'm on the fence with Nemo. Can anybody give me some thoughts on that?

From your great suggestions, I came up with this, what do you think? (fyi, we plan to do Navi River on our arrival day, since we are staying at AKL -- and pardon the exactness of the numbers, used a worksheet):

Avatar Flight of Passage 10:10am FP (child swap)
Wildlife Express Train: Africa Station 10:45am
Wildlife Express Train: Rafiki's Planet Watch Station
10:58am
Kilimanjaro Safaris
11:13am FP
Festival of the Lion King
12:00pm FP
Tusker House Restaurant
12:45
Flights of Wonder
1:19pm
Maharajah Jungle Trek
2:03pm
TriceraTop Spin
2:31pm
The Boneyard
2:40pm
Finding Nemo - The Musical

Seems good, except I'd say that if you are taking the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch, you'll probably want to spend some time there before boarding the train back.

The Nemo show is the exact story of the movie, just with added music. If your kids have seen and liked the movie, I would highly recommend it, as it's a very well done show IMO. If they haven't seen it, I would recommend having them watch it before you go to see if they like it and to help drum up the excitement for the show.

I would plan for more time with the Wildlife Express Train. Just waiting for the train and walking back to the Planet Watch will take some time.
