AK - must do???

Hmmm. I keep holding onto DHS more for the stuff I think they'll like now and won't care about later (like Muppets, Disney Playhouse) than for the thrill rides. It would be great to do all four, just don't know if we can take that long of a vaca. This spring Disney ran a special for FL residents - $100 for 4 days/4 parks (no park hopping, had to do one day in each) and if they run that again we may have to go for 4 days!

For us, AK is a "maybe" park. If we have the time, we do it. Having said that, I am disappointed that we have not really had the time to explore it fully. I love the design of the park...the "old" buildings, trees, animals hiding around each corner. The queues are great too. The one thing holding us back from spending a day there is the heat. I swear that park is 20 degrees hotter than the others!

If we went in the cooler months, I would spend a day there. But so far we have only gone in the hotter months. Maybe a January trip is in order...

Count us in on the positive side. AK is our favorite park! We love EE, KRR, FotLK, KS just to name a few. The scenery is not to be missed IMHO. We spend at least one full day and sometimes another 1/2 day later in our trip. It is a shame that you have to skip one. If we HAD to skip one, for us, it would be HS. You have to make a decision that best suits your family. Either way, have a great time!

For us, AK has it's ups and downs... try and get the Safari in as early in the day as possible (more active animals).. We love Kali (bring ponchos, for the love of dryness) as well as EE. Dinoland USA is another favorite of ours, but may be too intense for some 4 year olds...

We typically do rope drop, and are out of the park by 2 with all of the things want to do done.. makes for a nice, relaxing time back at the pool of the hotel.
