We will be there for the AK event on one of the dates in March. We usually don't venture out with the kids (DD2 and DD5) this late, but would it be worth taking the 5yo out for this and taking it easy the next morning? I don't think DW or DD2 would make it this late. :)

The Animal Kingdom one was probably my favorite I've attended outside of the first ever one back at TL in 2015 (when crowds were nothing and only on-site was allowed- no off-site).

Plenty of food, tickets for games, unique characters, gift for RoL- etc. It was better this year than 2016 for sure.

But ya- if its just you and your 5 year old - then I think youd have the time of your life. My favorite theme park trip ever was when I took my *then* 6 year old all by myself to Universal for 3 nights.
Its a different level of fun when it's just dad and oldest. Might even be tall enough for Everest & FoP @ 44".

Awesome. Thanks for the response. Yeah - DW and DD2 don't hang out much after dinner so DD5 and I get a lot of time together. :) She will be tall enough for FoP; just not sure she is mentally there yet. She still gets a little freaked out by scary animals. She will love Everest. I'll have to run it by DW.

If she can handle Everest w/ Yeti- FoP should be nothing. At the end of the day, it's just a simulator. But you know your kid best.

I agree. And remember - she’ll be 4 months older. At 5, those extra months can make a difference.

Great point. Although, I showed her a YouTube video someone posted. I think she specifically said 'oh I do not want to ride that'. :rotfl2: This was last month when DW and I got back from an adults only trip where we had just ridden it for the first time. I don't think FoP will be the maker/breaker decision to go. I do think she would love everything in Dinoland as well as Everest (which she does want to ride). If DW is okay with me keeping DD5 out until after midnight, I'll go ahead and book it. We are at the very beginning of our DVC adventure so if it does not work this time, I hope there are others we can all attend together in the future.

Better to ask forgiveness than permission. Besides- if she falls asleep at 10- just say you’ll be out until 10:15. :D
