AK Meal Deal Vouchers

Can anyone confirm that this promotion is still going on? Have a short trip planned at the end of next week, and would really like to know if this is an option. Also, if someone could confirm the adult and child's price, as well as any advice on where to use the vouchers(I know AK dining is a little limited) would be greatly appreciated. The only kids meals I have found available are pizza(at Pizzafari) and mac-&-cheese at Tusker House. I hope there is more! Thanks!

At Flametree Barbeque, kids can get pbj (Uncrustables--prepackaged) or franks and beans (they are mixed together--I was hoping to be able to get a plain hotdog for ds but it was not to be had). At Restaurantosaurus, the only kids option is a chicken nugget Happy Meal. We had a VERY hard time using the coupon for my ds--he is allergic to peanuts, wouldn't touch franks/beans, didn't want chicken nuggets. We ended up paying $4.33 for JUST a hot dog at Restauranosaurus. The hotdog meal there is considered an "adult" meal. Since we had to use the coupon the same day of purchase, we got a 2nd Happy Meal and my little ds ate a couple of nuggets out of that (after finishing his own Happy Meal). We should have eaten at Pizzafari, but I had my taste buds set on a barbeque chicken sandwich. HTH.

Thank you disney queen and CanBe- That is jusat what I was hoping. For us, the chicken nuggets may be the deciding factor in whether we purchase the vouchers or not(my ds does not get them at home very often, so he would relish the opportunity to eat nuggets on vacation).

Do I have to wait until I get to WDW to buy the AK Meal Deal Vouchers?? Does anyone know where I can get them at and how much they are for adults?? Thanx

You buy them at any of the AK counter service restaurants. (Tusker house, Flame Tree, Pizzafari, Restarauntosauras.) They are 10.99 + tax for adults. You can buy the vouchers at the same time you eat, or what we did - buy the vouchers first thing in the morning so you can get something to drink early on.

We just got home today and we did use the AK vouchers. I thought it was a really good deal. We ate bbq and I had the ribs which are $8+ and got a drink. Then later we use our other coupons for ice cream and another drink--both we $2.50 each so its a really good deal. We didnt really care for the bbq place though--its not like bbq from Texas. They use some spices I didnt really care for. Think we are going to try pizza next time.

We used the AK Meal Deal Vouchers twice this past week. I would like to echo that depending on what you purchase they are a great deal. We paid $10.99 plus tax per voucher and this is what we each got at the Tusker House.
Salmon dinner $7.99 + tax
Bottled water $2.50 + tax
100 Years Ice Cream bar $2.50 + tax
Bottle water $2.50 + tax

Excellent deal.

By the way, the 100 Years Ice Cream Bar is excellent, but they are having problems with it melting too fast. This bar is chocolate ice cream with a layer of caramel between the ice cream and the hard chocolate coating. YUMMY!!!

They've always had a problem with this bar melting fast. It has been around a long time, and used to be called a Goofy bar, but they changed the name last Oct. It's still my favorite snack in the whole "world"! I have been knopwn to drive 10 hours for one of these! Thanks for breaking down the cost of the items available with the meal deal. We are really looking forward to trying some of the AK restaurants for a change.
