AK Lodge did i make the right choice?

Booked Ak for a week in late Oct. this was the only Deluxe for a week in a row. Did I make the right decision. How is the transportation...we mainly want to do a day or two at Mk and then relax by the pool. I reserved a deluxe pool view. How will this be...any section better than the other.

I don't think you'll regret it. We added just one night with a Savannah view--we wanted to see the animals, I can see a pool from my kitchen window LOL. I will be posting my report soon. The CM's were fabulous, Mara, though limited witha menu was great. I don't think you'll be disappointed, but if you are still unsure call back from time to time to see if anything else has opened up.

Good choice...Stayed there for the first time this July. Loved it ! CM "s were great, loved Mara and Boma. Enjoyed the pool and transportation was great. People on the boards were saying that the transportation would be the drawback because it is farther away from the parks. I was a little worried but it was great, The nicest part about their bus transportation is that they are non-stop...no other hotels to stop at. Go and enjoy the AKL..it will become a favorite I'm sure.

i would switch to the savannah view concierge level....
if you stay in concierge you can go on the sunrise safari...
all 4 of us enjoyed it (2 adults and a 17 and 20 year old)...

however, i think there's a minimum age for the sunrise safari, so you should check that if you have small kids...

Just to clarify, there's no minimum age for the sunrise safari; there's a minimum age (16) for the sunset safari.
