Hi, its looking like we may have rain on our AK day and I'd like to know which attractions can still be done in the rain? Particularly the train/conservation station/affection section? Are those all covered/indoors? Would we get wet on the train or would we stay dry? Can the safari be done in the rain? I know we could see nemo and lion king shows. What about the flights of wonder show - does that still go on in the rain? If I recall correctly it was outside but covered? I know we could choose a different park that day, but we don't have hoppers and it's tough to move around our adrs. Are any of the animal trails mostly/partly covered? Or would it be too wet to walk the animal trails? Any advice appreciated. Thanks :).

Our AK day this past November was a deluge. Paths and rides were flooded. Even ponchos couldn't save you. We didn't get to go on much. I can't answer specifically to all the attractions you mentioned, but there was an unscheduled (?) bird show on a path right outside Dino Land where they demonstrated some things with parrots, so I would think there's a good chance you'll still see Birds of Flight.

The safari absolutely still runs. We had a FP for it that we didn't need to use because it was walk-on/0 wait due to the light crowds because of the torrential rain. Even though the roads were totally flooded, they just drove right through them like it was nothing. It was added fun to drive through small rivers!

We made fun memories in the rain, even if it was the coldest bus ride back to the resort ever wearing wet clothes!

What day are you going?

Just rarely rains when we visit and usually just an hour or 2, have never been to AK in any rain-but I don't think there is a lot of "cover" way back by the Train and Safari.

But Safari, Dino, FOTLK, Nemo, TTBAB are all great-cant wait for Avatar to add a couple more "indoors" though.

Nemo, Lion King shows, Bugs Life movie, Dinosaur ride are indoors.

Animals on Kilimanjaro Safari are sometimes known to be playful in rain.

Everest has been known to make people scream louder when exposed to rain in the middle of their Yeti encounter.

Kali Rapids can get you even more soaked than a heavy rain.

We have 1.5 days planned for Ak. It sounds like in the rain with ponchos we could probably still enjoy the safari, nemo, lion king and maybe the conservation station and train ride. That would certainly be a full morning. I'll make sure on the sunny day we hit Everest and the trails, Safari again, boneyard. No ittbab - my 6yo jumped at that one! I'm really hoping for no rain, or just one big passing storm. A whole day of rain would be a bummer.

Unless it a torrential down pour, everything will be open. Sometimes shows like Flights of Wonder are closed due to rain if it is so heavy it is blowing inside the theater. If there is lightening, Everest, Kali, Primeval Whirl, and Triceratops Spin may shut down.

The train should still be operational. You may get wet, if the wind is blowing while riding the train. It is open on one side. Once you get to conservation station, you have to walk a bit, but there is a building to go inside. The petting zoo is of course outside.
