I'm trying to figure out which days we'll go to which parks. It will be my DH and I, no kids this trip.

Would we be able to get everything done at AK in one afternoon? We'd want to go Dinosaur, FOTLK, the Safari, It's Tough to be a Bug, and maybe Kali River (depending on the line and if we want to get wet). This would be on a Tuesday afternoon in late September. We'd have probably from 12:30pm to 5pm (closing time).

I don't have Tarzan Rocks on my list. Is that something that adults would tend to enjoy (like FOTLK) or more kid oriented?

What do you think?

With the right planning and no straying you could probably accomplish those activities in one afternoon. It's really going to depend on the crowds. Use FP to your advantage.

As for Tarzan Rocks-- I really enjoyed this show.

I like the Tarzan show...FOTLK is my favorite, but Tarzan is good.

If the weather is hot, I would schedule AK in the morning and leave in mid-afternoon if I got too warm. When the weather is pleasant, I think AK is a full day park...especially for adults, if they allow themselves to relax, wander through the trails, and really enjoy everything the AK has to offer. We consider it a 1/2 day park in the hotter weather and a full day park in December and cooler weather.

Sounds like maybe there's too many things for 1/2 day, especially since it would be in the afternoon and hot and we'd want to fit in the shows.

It would be arrival day so we wouldn't be able to go earlier that day, but I think that instead we'll go to Epcot Future World that day and AK another day (first thing in the morning).

Thanks for the help and I will put Tarzan Rocks on our list!

Have a great time on your "without the kids" trip. We hope to do that sometime in the next few years. AK usually only takes 1/2 a day or so, when using FP's, but why rush when you don't have to, right?::yes:: Do something else the first day, and hit AK another day!

Enjoy!

Thanks!

For some reason this trip has me more worked up than usual. My DH hasn't been to WDW in 3 years and I don't know when he'll be back. I want to make sure we do what he will enjoy (and maybe he'll then want to go back sooner), want to things that I can't do with children, etc. Not only do I want to do what my DH will enjoy, he doesn't like to go go go like I like to do, so I can't plan too much (but we don't have a lot of days and want to get a lot in...). I know we'll have fun once we're there, but I'm really driving myself crazy!

As far as me personally, I will be bringing my 4yo in December and meeting my sister and my 81yo mother AND I'm going to bring my 11yo in January, so I will have plenty of Disney in the next few months. So, I need to chill and enjoy myself (and not worry about the kids when I'm gone...) :teeth:
