AK - How much can you do in a half day?

Let me start by saying thanks to everyone here..so much planning to do & so much to learn on the DIS boards!

Ok, we are going to do AK for a half day this time. We have been there before a few times & it is our least favorite park but I always feel like we cannot skip it because we do have fun there. So we decided to do the half day. Do you think we could get there at by 1 pm & do ...

Dinosaur (DD's favorite so we have to do this)
Festival of the Lion King (love this)
Tarzan

I figure in Oct the park will close at 5pm. What do you think?

we only ever stay in AK for a half day, I think it's very doable, as long as the lines aren't to bad. I would try and also do the Safari ride, to me thats the best part of AK.

It was enough for us and we plan to do it again in May!

I think you shouldn't have a problem if you hit the show times right. I'd go right for Dinosaur and get on if the lines aren't bad, and get a fastpass if they are. That way you can just go jump on when it's your time.

DW and I went last summer, and got in the Safari, Pangani Exploration Trail, Flights of Wonder, Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur, It's Tough To Be A Bug, and Primeval Whirl, all in under 3.5 hours! That was pretty amazing, we thought, but we did go during the extra magic hour. I guess my point is, I don't think you should have too much trouble fitting in what you want to.

Easily and more. I always go to this site http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/index.htm and find the "historical" (which are usually correct) times of the shows. That way, I know ahead of time and can plan the best way of fitting them in and doing other stuff too.
