Hi everyone,
I'm changing around my plans again today. Wonder what everyone thinks...

We are a family of 6 (2A 4C) plus another family of 2A.
DH, DW, DS11, DS7, DD5, DS2. Stroller.

This is a mid-week day in May when the AK closes at 6. So as light as crowds can reasonably be expected for May.

Our fixed constraints are:
7am ADR Chef Mickeys
12noon ADR Y&Y
Want to see the 3:45 parade

Here's the plan:
* 7am Breakfast at Chef Mickeys (till 8:30)
* Bus to AK (arrive slightly before 9, just in time to RD but not be ahead of the early RD crowd).

* RD to Wilderness Explorer Kiosk, get set up w that.
* RD to Safari.

?) Is this bad? Should we skip the Kiosk, run to Safari, and come back to the Kiosk? (major crossing of the park).

Safari done by 10am - even if we do the Kiosk first?

* 10-12: 2 hrs allocated for Train, Rafiki, and Train back. We'll do the little stuff there, we have kids 2 and 5 so not rushing. If we get back before 12, we can do the 11:30 Flights of Wonder then walk over to Asia for lunch.

* 11:30 Flights of Wonder (unless we were busy in Rafiki)
* 12-1:30 ADR for Y&Y

* 1:30-2:30 FP+ Kali
* 2:30-3:30 FP+ Everest

After Everest, watch Parade. Don't think we need more than 15-min lineup for this, but we'll probly be done w Everest a little early.

* Now 4:00, head to Dinoland.

* 4:00-5:00 FP+ Primeval
* 5:00-6:00 Dinosaur
(Also fit in light dinner in Dinoland)

In this 4-6pm 2 hour block also doing some Rider Switching to make those possible, and picking up Triceratop here and there w DS2 while ppl wait. The Waiting halves might also grab QS at the Flametree or Restaurantosaurus nearby.

?) Originally I had my Rafiki time in the midday 2 hours (1:30-3:30) and the FP's for Kali and EE in the morning 2 hours. But that involved walking from Africa to Asia and back several times. This way I have it now, has almost no double walking, but involves the bigger rides during the middle hours of the day (tho all by FP+). Which do you like better? Any suggestions?

Thank you!!

I like your revised plan with Conservation station from 10-12. HOWEVER, I would really recommend you get to the 1:30 Flights Of Wonder show. 1 1/2 hour is plenty for the train ride over, see a few things there and get back in time for the show,even moving at a toddler pace( I think the place is geared more toward older kids and adults anyway, with a few cool things for the littlest guys). You didn't ask,but I wanted to warn you to be prepared if you are riding Kali. Some of you will get soaking wet, I mean drenched through. We only ride it just as we are leaving the park because inevitably someone needs a change of clothing.

Ok so I'm gonna pencil in the 11:30 FoW... 1-1/2 hours is enough even if you want to M&G Rafiki?

I'm reading also you can get the Wilderness Explorer packet in Africa or even the Petting Zoo area... anyone know where these spots are? They don't seem to be on the WDW maps.

I am actively researching the Wilderness Explorers since we have never done this. My understanding is that, yes, you can get the books at other kiosks. I am going to link you a site that I've found helpful for info regarding WE including pics of the entire book. One of the pics shows the badges on a map so you can see where they are all located. I read somewhere else about the various kiosk locations. Do a search, I found it easily.

I think you may allow more time at Rafiki if you are doing this as there are 8 badges there. And from what I've read, Chip and Dale are also there now that Camp Minnie-Mickey has closed.
