AK and "the awakening"

Wanted to do this, but the only day that we are going to AK is on an EE day. Does this program still go on with EE and does that mean we need to arrive at 7:45?

Even though I'm not a morning person, the Awakening sounds interesting How crowded does it get? What kind of animals do they have out?

Last time for us in Nov it was not too crowded but to see the awakening it is best to get there a little earlier than one would expect to in order to be "near the front of the lines" to see as much as possible.

In terms of critters, we have stopped at looked at spiders, lizards and other neat things throughout the Oasis during the morning opening.

Wes Palm was also checking things out and speaking to guests

Thanks for the help! I will probably have to set two alarm clocks to get there that early. *lol* It sounds really fun so I'm going to mention it to my DBF, he really loves AK!

Yep My co-workers are really surprised I want to go back so soon! I'm just trying to get good use out of my AP I think may have to start looking into DVC *lol*

When we were there in 2001 I messed up the opening times and we were the first people at the gates(I think a 1 1/2 early). They asked my daughter to carry out a fake spider and wear the AK vest to open up the park. It was so cool. My other kids were mad because they just wanted to go run on the rides but boy was she thrilled. Gina

Thanks for the information. We'll have to see if I can get the family out of bed early enough for that. I think DS's would enjoy that.... me? I'm not big on spiders or creepy crawly things.
