AK and rope drop. character meet?

The way I have my fast passes, I'm thinking of going to the character meet and greet at oasis first after rope drop and then maybe tough to be a bug before moving on to dinosaur with a fast pass. Any thoughts on this plan? How much in demand is the character interaction first thing in the morning?

I'm not positive, to be honest. I do think like anything else, it's going to be less wait time than later in the day. Are you interested in a specific character? I'm not sure who meets in the Oasis. I think some of the meets (Mickey and Minnie, maybe?) you can use FP+ for, although I'm not sure that would be a great use of one. We only met Pocahontas there, and we went in November so it wasn't super busy and her line wasn't long. Maybe check out EasyWDW's cheat sheet for AK, or Kenny the Pirate's AK touring plan, and see where they recommend meeting characters? Kenny especially places emphasis on character meets, so that might be the best one. Sorry I'm not more help!

I recall character meets are higher in demand a little more towards the late morning...we didnt do the oasis, but it was sort of a challenge tracking down those we wanted to meet because they are so scattered with erratic schedules. Like we just HAD to see Pocohontas, that day she was scheduled to show at 1pm while we were hoping to be gone by then. Grrrr...then the long commute to Rafiki's Planet Watch just to see him...*muttering* Yes, I'm griping. Sorry...
