I'm going the first week in March. Would like to do AK in the morning (9-2) and Epcot (230-9)....is it possible to do this and still enjoy all there is? Any comments/advice?

In my opinion there is no way that you could do both parks in one day and see everything. In fact, we always plan on spending two days at Epcot. If you only have one day to do both parks then you need to pick and choose what are the absolute must sees and skip everything else.

It all depends on how much you want to see. We always just do a half-day at AK, but then there isn't a lot there that we see. We only want to do one of the trails (we alternate which one each trip, but not both in the same trip), the safari, and Bug's Life. We also like to just stroll around the park a little, then we leave.

For us, Epcot is a whole other story. There isn't much here that we want to skip, and we like to stroll A LOT here and just take it in. So Epcot gets one full day and at least two half days each trip, sometimes more.

You absolutely can't do these two parks in one day if there's a lot you want to see and do at each. But if you've only got a few choice attractions at each that you want to hit, it would be fine.

Ok ...we get in at 11am....we could get 1/2 day in at a park but I would be afraid that by not checking into my room, I would not get to choose my rooms location at Old Key West.

I'm glad you posted this question because we're just staying for a short trip (along with a 2 year old) and I was wondering the same thing. Keep in mind- we're going to be skipping ALOT of rides due to the fact that she's only 2!
I just want to make it to each park.

What about MGM- much to see over there???

I absolutely love MGM...It has alot of shows....That park however, I feel could be done in 1/2 day if crowds are not so busy. I chose to do my second 1/2 at Epcot because it closes later (9pm).

If you go on an early entry day, you could get into AK at 8 am. Keep in mind though I'm a commando, and I find spending 13 hours in the parks thrilling.

It's not ideal, but my kids would rather spend 1/2 day in those 2 parks and 2 whole days at MK. In October we got to the gates at 9, did the safari, Pangani and the other trail, Conservation Station, Kali (twice), Boneyard, Dinosaur, Triceratops Spin and that new ride in AK. We wanted to see the Lion King and Tarzan, but it was very crowded and too hard to zigzag around the park to try to be somewhere at a set time. We left around 2 and were at Epcot by 3. You may have trouble w/Mission Space and Test Track if the fastpasses are already given out for the day. That happened to us, so DD7 and DH used the standby line for those two while I took DD3 to the Living Seas and the Fitness Fairground. Then Test Track broke down and threw our schedule way off. It was 6 pm by then so we skipped TT. Ended up going to Downtown Disneyto play with Legos, but my plan was to spend 6-9 in World Showcase.

Sorry this got long. We're going back next month and I'm working out our plans. You'd think it'd be simple....just do what we didn't get to do in October, but we always end up doing our favorites each trip.

i don't know what it's like when you're going, but we split up all our days between park EXCEPT epcot. That I could have used two days for just for the world section. I would do AK in the morning then MGM in the afternoon if you have limited time. I posted a trip report that quickly explained how we broke up our days.

Poohtown: I would like to see your review but have no idea on how to do that. Can you give me some pointers?
We are going the second week in February. Most of the parks close at 7. Animal Kigdom is at 5. I was hoping that when the parks close we can head to the world showcase and do a land or two a night before that closes. Is that doable??

on the main page under trip planning there is a link to trip reports. Mine is about halfway down but here is a condensed version. (trip includes hubby, 15 yr. old, 8 yr. old and myself)

day 1 - ee to AK. Did everything but Dino part by lunch and was pretty wiped out. Loved the 3d bug show (8 yr old did not) Back to hotel for swim in the pool then out to early dinner at Planet Hollywood. Kids pizza was huge. Thought my shrimp sandwich was really good but final bill was a bit on the pricy side. Off to MK to see Cinderellas surprise, go on some rides and watch fireworks.

day 2 - ee to MGM. A little freaked out at the playground because you couldn't keep track of the kids. Left around 2 to go eat off park. Cici's All you can eat pizza, salad, and pasta was a huge hit for only $4.- a person. WOW. Went to check out Blizzard Beach. Hubby and 15 yr. old thought this place was heaven.

day 3 - ee to Epcot and spent entire day. Wish I could have planned better to see the different entertainers in the worlds. I loved the acrobats in China. Snacked on different foods throughtout the world. Faves - the eggrolls from the take out place in China - YUMMMM. The turkey legs, nachos, and england beer were big hits also. Didn't realize the kids making masks could get a stamp on it from each country. We didn't do the mask till half way around the world.

day 4 - ee to MK. was able to do all the rides in fantasyland within 2 hrs. : ) Left to spend day at Blizzard Beach. . Had dinner off park at a chinese buffet. Returned to MGM for roller coaster, tower of terror and FANTASMIC - awesome!!!!!

day 5 - regular day at MK. Final day was more relaxed. Peco's Bill has the best topping bar for hamburgers and I think is very reasonable.

AK -did everything but dinoland (walked right past in without realizing till we got home), didn't stay for parade

MGM - dind't do sounds dangerous or any of the live shows (except fantasmic).

MK - everything but jamboree (no interest), tiki room and pirates of the caribbean

Ep - did everything

BB - everything except the tike's peak area (little kids only)

we also met 40 different characters throughout our trip.

That's what we have done when other parks close early - head over to the World Showcase for the evening.
