Hoping to arrive for 7 am Rope drop over Thanksgiving week. Plan is to head to Pandora with the bigs in our group. Get Rider switch for FoP, have bigs wait in line while 2 of us ride Navi with the littles. Then we take the littles to the following:
Safari
Bugs Life
Triceratops Spin
We want to play at The boneyard
( opens at 10) but also go out to see Doc McStuffins (also at 10) so need to figure out how to do these
Lion king show at 12
Tusker house adr 1245

Advice? Feedback? This is not "set in stone" just what I'm trying to a accomplish. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I would do Doc McStuffins first before the line gets too long.

Have the kids done Bugs Life before? I ask only because I was traumatized as a child in Bugs Life.

Overall, sounds great and I hope you enjoy your trip!

Please report back and let me know how getting a RS pass at Pandora rope drop goes! We will be there next May and plan to rope drop on an EMH morning. I'm afraid of getting trampled waiting for the pass!

If you are planning FoP at rope drop get there by 6 or 6:15 at the latest. It’s going to be packed that week and that line can become a 4 hour wait in a matter of minutes. Everyone plans on rope dropping FoP but unless you are at the very front of the rope drop line you will be better off waiting until later. Although, during a holiday that line may not get any shorter. If you are not at the front you won’t make the other stuff and lion king by 12.
As far as Doc I wouldn’t make it a huge priority. Early in the day there won’t be much of a wait for her as everyone will be in Pandora with the same idea as you.

When my first set of kids ( we have littles now as foster parents) were young Bugs Life scared them to death. Our 4 year old now LOVES the movie and I have learned ( over many visits) that if you sit in the very first row, you cannot see the dropping spiders ( scared kids so bad) and if you don't wear the glasses it less frightening. I may have to "eat crow" and go to the way back, but I am going in knowing it can be terrifying! I always tip people off to that too!! Thanks for looking out for the littles, it may indeed, be a big mistakes!

I will try and message you! We will have 6 over 13 and 3 under 4 ( 2 are 12 months and 18 months) I think we should be able to get one. We were able to ride it July. We have FP for it Thanksgiving night so I am hopeful. I honestly got a bit queasy and the glasses wouldn't stay on my face so it won't break my heart if we don't get it!

I was kind of hoping they could all just go wait ( the bigs) in FoP with everyone and Navii "might" be less crowded? Its not a make or break as they can all do ever eat and or dinosaur. We can just go straight to Safari. I honestly wasn't sure how to use the 7 am time up till 10 with only safari, Triceratops and bugs life...so I thought "maybe" Navi would round us out time wise.

Maybe but that line builds fast, too. It will be less crowded tha FoP but that just means 90 minutes as compared to 240 which is what FoP was two saturdays ago just after rope drop. Keep an eye on the app to get an idea of ride waits at rope drop and just after.

I hope they will enjoy it! The fact they enjoy the movie will help. I tried it when I was 3 and still can't go back in (even as an adult) LOL! If you remember, let me know how it goes!

A good plan but a bad day to try and execute it. The rules about running can get ignored and the ling for FoP will get very long very very fast. Depending on when you actually get there you might have to change a lot quickly. Cant help you on the Doc McStuffing thing even the 8 year old tells me that the show is for little kids.

We did AK on a non morning EMH day and we rode Navi in August first thing, we waited maybe 15 min. At that time, the line for FoP was about 3 hours already. When I asked people who were in line for FoP what time they arrived to get in line, it was 6am. They were so far back that they were across from the standby entrance and a CM had to hold a rope to let the line move across from walking traffic. Now that was mid-August but I suspect the attraction demand is still there. I eventually rode FoP but did it during evening EMH and we waited about an hour. As much as I love FoP, I would not subject my family and/or kids to wait in that long of a line while I am off enjoying the rest of AK. Not my idea of a fun family trip. And I know this is just my opinion but when people designate line waiters just to cut through the line and get on the ride without waiting in it, it's not very polite.
