Did I miss it?? I just read that AirTran is now charging $7.50 each way for preassigned seats instead of $5. Must be they found out we'd pay it!

That stinks! I just look at it as part of the ticket price. When you pay $49 a flight, an extra $7.50 still makes it pretty cheap overall.

I see it that way, too. And I look at it as a savings if DH and I don't care if we sit together or not. No big deal.

I've guess I've been looking at the Airfares too long. princess: :surfweb:
Saturday morning ( 4:30 A.M.) when I saw the Airtran non-stop flight from Boston to Tampa during spring break 4/19-4/26 for only $111 one way per person. I ran for my Credit Card. :teacher:
The total cost of the flight for the 3 of us including taxes/Fees and the $5.00 reserve seat assignment fee comes out to $758.40. :laundy:
If I was to reserve the same exact flight now with Airtran it would cost about $2,000. At Jet Blue the same non-stop with same times, $2,600.
I'll spend the $7.50 annoying/head shaking/eye rolling fee if I can save $1,000 or $2,000 for the same flight. :rotfl:
Good Luck All,
Joe
