Airtran schedule....

Does anyone have any idea when I can expect to be able to book June 2008 for Airtran? Currently they go through Oct, but I'm not sure how they release schedules. Any idea?

our dates usually tend to be released anywhere from 6 to 7 months ahead of time, good luck.

Looked @ my confirmation, I booked last week of June this year on Dec. 13th. Assume that was very close to the release date.

Thanks. I was hoping maybe October it would come out, but at least knowing when to expect it helps. I'm hoping they offer good prices like they are now!

As long as you buy tickets within a month after they become available you are most likely guranteed to get a cheap price.

So they release their cheap fares early unlike SW who releases fares and then supposedly comes down in price a month later or so? This is good to know. My sister and I have already agreed that when the price comes out we'll book it if it's good, and then we're not looking back to see if it comes down more because we don't want to know... I just want to make sure I have my money ready as soon as it comes out so I have the option to book if it's good and I don't miss it because I didn't have the money saved up yet! My goal is to have it saved up by the end of October so I'm ready for November!

No Airtran isnt like SW. The lowest I've seen them go is $69. Their lowest fairs is out as soon as the tickets are available. They will only go up in price as time goes by, because of people grabbing the web special only leaving with the discount coach, regular coach and business class. The tickets themselves wont go up in price, just what will be left avilable if you wait to long. But try to make sure u grab the web special even if you have to do 1 stop flight. I would rather have to switch flights midway to Orlando and only pay $69 - $82 then have a direct flight and pay $102 or more. But you should have no problems grabbing a web special direct flight if you purchase the tickets no later then December. Also you can signup with their rewards miles program, that way one of these times you fly to orlando, as soon as you get enough miles, it will be free. Oh and make sure you purchase the tickets through airtran.com and not through a TA, cuz TA can have you pay a booking fee and if you book it through airtran, they wont charge you a booking fee. I dont know if you ever flown with airtran or not, but they are the only ones I fly with now to anywhere. Used to be with USAIR, but they got VERY expensive. Airtan is a great airline company to fly with.

Thanks! Coming from CA all airfares are so expensive! However we found that flying from SFO to Tampa is a lot cheaper! It's also the only airline that we've priced that is actually cheaper to book on their site than on a booking engine. In looking for this June to compare, the cheapest flight they have is $104, which is listed as discount coach. One thing you need to remember is if u do fly into Tampa you wont be able to use Disneys ME. So you will either need to take a cab, limo, town car or rent a car.
