I just purchased yesterday for our August vacation flights from Phl to Mco on airtran for $69 per person and I booked them! I was afraid if I waited that I wouldn't get that great of a deal! Our return trip date is not yet available as it is September! But I'm sure I'll strike a deal there to! I'm so happy it makes our vacation seem so close! :thumbsup2

I booked for that time frame too a couple of weeks ago when the flights came out. Most of the the flights were $59 then. I had some AirTran credits that were going to expire so I used them. When you add in their bag fees they come around to what Southwest offers. I am waiting for the early September flights too. For those I am going to wait until Southwest puts out their schedule.

I was thinking the same thing! LOL! last year we flew to Mco on Southwest and returned Airtran! This year it maybe the opposite! Where are you staying at when you go?

I'm also looking for flights out of Philly but haven't seen anything that low for May. Were you able to book nonstop at that low rate? :confused3

I got 54 out of BWI on July 21st and the same for our return on July 30th. :cool1:

Yes, at the time, the 7:00 am flight was $69. On certain days though the 7:00 am was $59. The other three nonstops were $59. Now the 7:00 am flights are $79 and the other three nonstops are $69.

Yeah with AirTran's bag fees the flights on Southwest might come out to be the same. We'll see. I am going from 8/29 to 9/9 at Coronado Springs.

That's why I grabbed that flight then! because I know from experience it's usually the later flights that are cheaper! So coming back from vaca it doesn't matter how late I get in!

Yes! but that's ok if southwest is the same because I have a 7am flight! LOL
We are going from 8/24 thru 9/3 and we were booked at CSR but changed to POP and I may switch back to CSR depending on my DD ! She's having major surgery on the 12th of this month and takes 6 months to recover so it depends on her and how she's getting around because CSR stops are closer when exiting the parks and a good excuse for an upgrade! LOL!

Maybe that's the difference, we are flying out on a Saturday and if you are departing 8/24 then that's a Monday, correct? Guess I'll keep looking at both Southwest and Air Tran, hoping for a deal. Thanks for the info.

To poster looking for low rates out of PHL in May........I booked a few days ago PHL/MCO on 5/10 returning MCO/PHL 5/15 nonstop for $59 each way on SWA..........they have quite a few flights on those days for $59.........

Thanks Donna, I did see those lower rates at SW, but we'd like to leave early on 5-16 and return later on 5-23. What's listed at the cheaper rates doesn't allow us to do this. We'd like to make the most of our departure/return dates since we are only staying for a week and don't get to Disney that often.

Very well maybe I learned my lesson and do my vaca from week day to week day ! Weekkends are so much more higher for some crazy reason I guess higher traveled days!
