Airtran sale

I don't know if other airports are on sale, but the Wash Post had an Airtran ad advertising $65 each way from BWI to MCO. But I was able to get flights for $45 for the way down, and the $65 rate for the way home.

We are flying down earlier than DH into Tampa to visit family, DH is flying into Orlando a few days later, then we're all flying home at the same time out of Orlando. So it was a great deal for us!

I jumped and called on this right away, but unfortunately it's ended!
Now, from BWI to MCO they are running $300 each for Dec even w/a grp of 12 tickets

I think the sale is still going on, but not that far out. We're going in July, and for Sun, July 22, they still have flights from Orlando to Baltimore for $43.62. I checked online at the Airtran site.

I hope they have the sale again for December - we're going back down for the cruise!

Don't give up 4nana!!! Airtran rates, out of BWI seem to go down, especially a few months out. I've seen 'em swing back and forth a couple of times for our May trip. I'm sure that they'll go down. You should never pay more than $200.00 round trip, non/stop for any flights to MCO out of BWI. Good Luck!!

Horrible experience with Air Tran from Rochester NY to Atlanta GA. Our flight was 7 AM and we didn't leave Rochester until 5:30 PM. plane had a problem and we were told that another plane was on it's way to pick everyone up and would be there within 3 hours. They lied all day long. Police Officers were summoned to the gate after 2 passengers went crazy yelling at the Air Tran people. We arrived in Atlanta minus our luggage. It was a nonstop flight and it had been waiting at the airport for 12 hours!!! Sorry to vent but thought I should make everyone aware of our experience. I hope who have booked flights don't run into what we did. Have a good trip. Check out the rates at Orbitz. we're flying from Roch NY to MCO for 98.00 roundtrip in August.

I just read this post, checked their site, and found by accident 43.00 one way from MCO to BWI in August. Needed this ticket for dropping DD off for the Disney College Intern Program and needed a one way ticket back. Great price and direct flights. I have never used Airtran? Any info. Thanks again for the tip. Also signed up for their netescapes emails.

From November to February we had many family emergency's in Tampa, therefore used Airtran on 3 occassions from Pgh. Customer service rep even noted on my return flight, date may change without extra charge or penalty. I thought that was super nice. We had no delays on any of those flights and the planes are new and clean.
