Airtran ?? regarding flight check in, business upgrade

Ok, I cannot for the life of me remember how to do this! We are booked on a N/S flight in December on Airtran. I know how to check-in online 24 in advance and pick my seats. For this trip I was thinking of paying the upgrade cost to get business class seats (used to cost $35 at the counter on the day of the flight) but don't know 1-if they still do this & 2-do I check in online and then go the counter and ask or what?

I actually just asked airtran about this a couple of weeks ago. They do still have upgrades, but you have to do it at the airport counter. I am going to check in online 24 hours ahead of time to get a good seat, in case I cannot upgrade. I only want to upgrade if i can get a window seat, so we will see. I hope this answers your question!

Thanks for the responses and I did check the site, thanks for the link. It didn't exactly answer my question as it says if you are checking in online you can upgrade at your departure gate. We don't have curbside check in here for AT so I'd be waiting on line inside the terminal.
