Airtran - regarding changing flight

Okay. I have mentioned a couple times on here that I purchased roundtrip tix for the 4 of us for $670 (including seat choices and taxes). I was VERy happy with the cost.

I also understand Airtran is pretty notorious for changing times and/or cancelling flights. We have a non-stop flight, arriving in Orlando a little before 2 in the afternoon. I wanted to get there earlier, but I really prefer nonstop, mainly cause I am a nervous flyer, and the thought of taking off twice and landing twice freaks me out a bit.

My question. If they would happen to cancel the nonstop flight, or change it to a layover, would they let me change my flight to the day before - in the evening - cause it is also a nonstop?

With the price, I am willing to have a layover and leave whenever I have to. But I am still curious if this is possible, if it would come down to it. Anyone have any experience in this? Or thoughts?

They let me do this last year. Our direct flight on a Sunday was cancelled and they allowed me to move to the direct flight that was scheduled the day before on Saturday.
