Has anyone paid for the Zone 1 Priority Seating with AirTran? Under the perks, it says First to Board/GoGo Wi-Fi*, but it doesn't explain what the asterisk means. Does it mean free wi-fi for the flight?

I just spoke with Air Tran because I was wondering the same thing and they said the are currently running a promo where if you buy zone 1 seating you also get free wi-fi on that flight.

GoGo is no longer free on AT, and no they don't advertise it as free on their website.

From the AT website:

"Registering for Gogo is fast and easy. Once you create an account you can easily purchase a session on your next Gogo-equipped flight."

On all of my 2011 flights with AT you had to pre-register & pay for a session with GoGo to use the service.

On your 2011 flights have you paid for zone one boarding/seats?

We fly in 2 weeks and have paid for Zone one boarding. So does this mean we don't get to board first also:confused3:confused3 I really have no idea, but when you choose your seats for zone one they do say..... first to board/GoGo wirless. The $6 seats does not mention those as options. I have to say that we did book our flights in Feb. and I do not remember those options for zone one. I did go back and look at seat options today and for the $13 both are mentioned.

I don't know about the GoGo because I don't use it, but if you paid for those $13.00 or $15.00 seats you will get Boarding Zone 1. We always do. The last time was just a couple of weeks ago (April 30th and May 8th). However, if you go in at the 24 hour mark and pick those seats for free you get Boarding Zone 7 or 8. I know the lady sitting next to me a couple of weeks ago was mad, because she had looked at those seats, but chose not to pay for them. Then at the 24 hour mark she noticed the seat was empty and chose it for free. She was really mad she didn't get Boarding Zone 1. The flight was completely full and she had to gate check her carry on, as did several others.

Of course she was also mad because I refused to trade my nice aisle seat in row 13 for her husband's middle seat in row 31.lol I told her if she offered her seat to one of her husband's seat mates they'd probably accept, but she got really huffy, said she wanted to sit in the front of the plane and it wouldn't hurt me to switch with him. Yeah, sure, give up my nice aisle seat in the front of the plane that I paid for, in exchange for a middle seat in the back to someone too cheap to pay for their seats. Sorry, not happening!lol

Yes if you pay for Zone 1, you will board first. Looks like you'll be getting free GoGo right now too!

We booked (and paid) for Zone 1 seats back in December for our flight in 2 weeks. I don't remember seeing anything about free GoGo, but I'll certainly take it! :thumbsup2

!lol

Thanks for the info. We don't fly much and glad to know this. We don't pay for seats unless we have enough credit and we never know if we will even fly again so we use our credit for seats and so on. Do love :lovestruc to board first and sit to the front of the plane, get off first, first to ME, sit toward the front of the bus, first off at resort, and so on and so on!!!!
