AirTran or Southwest?

I am looking into airfare for last week of Aug-Labor Day (yikes-the rates!) and both AirTran and SW are about the same rate for the week. Which would you book? I am thinking SW in case a DING comes out because they will credit you, right?
Any advice you can give, I appreciate

My only concern about SWA is that for the last few months the majority of the ding fares are for flights on Tues and Wed. It is rare to find a DING for weekend travel.

I would book SW in case you have to change your flights or cancel, they don't charge a fee.
