Does anyone know if Airtran still flies nonstop between AC and Orlando? I've been looking at the end of October and the beginning of December, but can't find any nonstop flights. I've flown nonstop before(in March) and the web site says it is offered, but:confused3

I can't answer your question about AC but I do know that where I live AirTran (and JetBlue) have direct flights on a seasonal basis. They aren't year round and they aren't every day.

I don't think they do, I booked one last year and they changed it to include a layover in Atlanta. Haven't seen a non stop flight since then.

Same thing with us for August. Booked a non-stop flight from Orlando to AC on Airtran, then it changed to a 2 hour stopover in Atlanta. Not happy. Checked flights the entire week, all had layovers.

I was an avid flyer of Spirit until they started charging for carry-on. I may go back to Spirit and pay a checked luggage fee for $19 just so I have non-stop flights again between AC and Orlando.

I also checked Airtran out of ACY and never found a non-stop flight for our trip in August. I opted to fly Spirit and found our flight for $92 roundtrip. Yes, you read that right $92. I am a $9 fare club member. The checked bags fees for $9 fare club are only $15 each way. You can take on a backpack without being charged the carry-on fee. This is what I plan to do. They allow one personal item for free such as a purse, backpack or briefcase.

I am flying Spirit as well this trip. I joined the $9 fare club and my flight to Orlando is $27. The baggage fees are the same as Airtran, the flight times work better and this time, since we are traveling with 3 kids, I really wanted non stop.
