Airtran MCO Question

Unfortunately our trip is winding down. We will be flying home very early Sun morning. This is our first experience departing Orlando flying Airtran. Is there anything I should know? Is Airtran efficient handling departures from MCO? We aren't using DME, we'll be returning a rental.

MCO is a great airport! Car return is very easy. Airtran, you will be fine, have a safe trip home

The last time I flew out of MCO on Air Tran it was a great experience. They started boarding a little early though, so you may want to make sure you're on time. It felt like we left the gate just a few minutes early as well. It was wonderful, not doing a lot of waiting.

Ive flown AirTran many times from PIT to MCO (which looks like the trip your doing...Go Curve!) and never had a problem. MCO is a pretty big station for "Citrus" (airtrans callsign) and they seem to do a good job. You shouldnt have a problem with car rental return either, pretty seemless. Hope you had a great trip!

Thanks everyone. Every airline operates a bit differently, especially when departing MCO. So far I've been really impressed with airtran. I tried SW, never ever again will I do that cattle call. Others airlines I've used over the years are either gone or no longer offer nonstop service.

Last December, we were flying out of MCO via Airtran. The flight is normally about 2 hours and 5 minutes.

The pilot announced that it was snowing pretty good in Baltimore by then (we left around 6:40 p.m.). He was going to pick up a good tail wind and get us back as soon as possible.

We landed 1 hour and 40 minutes later and you never noticed anything unusual about the ride......
