As of right now, AirTran only appears to have flights through Oct. 15th. Anyone know when they will post more flights?

This is what they told me on 3/3:

We anticipate the November schedule to be extended within the next month. Once the dates have been posted, please contact us at 888-419-6109 and one of our agents will be more than happy to assist you with your air travel needs.

Too funny, I just emailed them to ask that same question and then came here to see if anyone knew the answer. When I get an answer back I will come back and post. I hope they are less than Southwest's flight prices that were released today! :scared1:

Agree. I looked at Southwest's prices today and they definitely weren't anything special. At least not out of Dallas.

The AirTran prices for Oct 15th aren't too bad, though, so I'm hoping to see similar pricing for the late Oct/early Nov flights.

They were much higher out of Milwaukee than I am wanting to pay. We have a plan of attack, though. There are 5 us of, so flights are pretty dang high.

1. We are waiting for Airtran to come out. I am hoping along with you that AT's flights are cheaper than SW as they are in early October.

2. If prices are high, drive down in a rental, fly back.

3. Tampa isn't too bad out of Milwaukee on Southwest. It's cheaper to fly non-stop to Tampa, rent a car and drive than it is to fly to Orlando with stops.

The lady on the phone just told me within the next two weeks. Ugh, may as well be FOREVER after waiting for the disappointing SW flights.

:thumbsup2 Good Luck!! We were waiting for Oct. prices from Mem to Mco. When they came out, we were really disappointed! Normally, we fly one way about $79-90., but when I saw the prices..$190 & $170 OUCH!!! Normally we pay about 178 each or $200 rt., but these new prices would've killed our family of five. Thankful this go around for Delta skymiles! But here's hoping pixie dust comes your way!:woohoo:

In connection with the last in a series of calls to AT re 'missing' CC annual fee vouchers:headache:, I was told I should have them in hand by early April, well before the next schedule release, yet, the rep had no idea if early to mid December would be included in the next round though:confused3.

Well we gave up waiting since SW had the flights to Tampa that are prices and times we were ok with. I was scared with all the talk about prices just going to rise that it would be unaffordable. All in all I don't think it was too bad, $287.90/person out of Milwaukee. Flights to MCO were $400+/person. Our rental car after I use my FF miles is only $113 for the entire 10 days we are there.

The only issue that's now a non-issue is that we land just in time for Tampa to Orlando rush hour on a Friday night. I went on restaurant.com last night and got a $25 gift certificate for Giordano's of Tampa for $4. We will just have dinner and hit the grocery store while we wait for traffic to subside :goodvibes

I e-mailed and got the following response:

"Thank you for contacting AirTran Airways with interest in future travel. Our flight schedules are published six to nine months in advance. Currently, most flight schedules are available through October 15th. Fares through November 2nd are scheduled to be loaded in the middle of March. The remainder of the month of November should be loaded in April or may. Please understand these dates are subject to change."

She said middle of March. Today's the 17th and no new flights yet. Hopefully, they will be loaded here pretty soon.....I'm getting anxioius. :yay:

The times are in, but no prices. I'm guessing Monday those who are waiting will be able to book!

I just checked late October flights with Airtran from BWI to MCO - over $800 PER PERSON!!!! Are you kidding me! I did price it through Disney and when I add the same flights it is only $900 for all four of us. I truly don't understand what is going on.

When they first put the prices in the only put the two most expensive classes in. You have to wait til they put the low fare in. I can't remember what the name of that class is right now.

I just checked. The lowest business fare is cheaper than the lowest coach fare. This is what happened last time when the put fares in. Just wait, it will come down.

Oh, thanks. I'll keep checking back.

I just booked flights out of ABE. Last night fares for 2 people were well over $1K. This morning I got 2 round trips for mid October for $484. Keep checking.

Some but not all prices have dropped for the Airtran flights. Check out the site, but be patient. The flights we would have taken have dropped but I'm glad we went SW to Tampa. We are $50 less with a car than we would have been flying into MCO with AT/baggage fees and we get a car the whole time :goodvibes Not to mention that we can leave with the car for Tampa at the same time we would have gotten picked up by ME for the return.

Indy to MCO prices dropped overnight from $412 to 124-207 for coach.
