AirTran/Hyatt Airport/MCO security

Okay, so we have a "day use room" at the Hyatt after our cruise. Our flight does not leave MCO until 5:40pm (keeps getting later )!
About what time should we leave our room and head down to get through security and to the gate? Any suggestions!

I would keep an eye on the lines going through security. Do you have luggage to check? I would allow at least 1 1/2 hours to get checked in, luggage checked, and through security.

Lines have been long at the security checkpoints.

We can check our luggage four hours before our flight so we'll probably go down then and take care of it when lines are not long.
That way we can just get off the elevator and step into the security line.
