Airtran help leaving in 5 days

OK I have everything done and we're leaving in 5 days YEAH....BUT I was going to check out the online checkin at Airtran just to be sure I knew how everything worked....well I have no confirmation # and Airtrans site said I can't use online check in because I bought tickets from expedia???? My question or concern is can I call them Thursday and get seat assignements??? Or do I have to gamble that I can get 3 together for me, dh and dd??? We live 2 hours from the airport so we will get there about 2 hours before the flight leaves....will we be ok just waiting? I have actual tickets just no seat assignements. I haven't flown in a long time and this is just to stressful for me...... Recommendations Words of Encouragements anything will be appreciated.

AirTran assigned my family their seats when I made the reservations, and that was about 6 months prior to our trip. I would give them a call and see if you can get this accomplished. If not, get your reservation number from them and do it online. We really enjoyed flying AirTran, it was our first time using them.

We just returned yesterday from our trip & used Airtran. I used the online check-in for our outgoing flight, but didn't take the time to online check-in before we left the hotel heading back to MCO. We arrived alittle less than 2 hours before flight time (had breakfast in the airport) & were able to get 4 seats together with no problem. This was our first trip using Airtran & the only minor problem was that after boarding for our flight back to Pittsburgh, we sat for almost an hour while they repaired a minor problem with the AC. An inconvenience, but I can't condemn the entire carrier since it could happen with any airline. I won't hestitate to fly with them again. I just wish they offered more non-stop flights out of Pittsburgh.

We fly AirTran alot and you should be able to get at least one adult with your child which is all that 's really necessary(although not the most desireable). This will be our first time flying them with the very lowest prices so they will not let us prebook at all. I am flying alone with a 7 and 8 year old and figure we'll be okay. Good luck! Threehearts
