Airtran is having a great post-holiday fare sale, for travel 1/4 through 2/17. Travel must be booked by 1/16 and travel on 1/13, 1/14, 1/17 and 2/10, 2/11 and 2/12 is excluded. I noted that from my hub (MSP) the best fares are for travel Mon, Tue, Wed and Thur, and there was some variation from week to week. So, it would be worth playing around with dates to get the best fare. The best fare I was able to find was $69 pp one way (about $155 pp w/taxes, round trip with non stop to MCO). This is fantastic fare from MSP! Although I cannot travel to take advantage of this sale, hopefully someone else can.

I was also playing around with some Sun Country flights with leaving on those same days of the week (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs) and I was getting some awesome prices one way from them too. In the neighborhood of $64 each way. The deals are there for people who waited to buy their airline tickets from MSP to MCO. I personally can't wait this close... so I bought June tickets in Nov. for 87.44 each way on SC.
