AirTran - Computer problems are affecting check-in

CNN is reporting that AirTran is having computer problems and are having to check in passengers manually, causing extremely long delays at some airports, particularly Atlanta. Just wanted to give anyone flying AirTran today a heads up.

I just checked their online check-in page and it is displaying this message:

The AirTran Airways online check-in system is currently offline for maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please check back with us again shortly.

Thank you for your patience.

No wonder I couldn't pull up their reservations system when I was trying to check to see if our flight times changed for our August trip! The last time I couldn't access an airline system was when I was checking for my parent's flight to find out the airline closed shop! Thanks for the head's up!

I noticed the same thing earlier. It appears they have upgraded their web site, so they may be experiencing issues. I was trying to check my itinerary for October to see if it had changed for the 5th or so time..... gotta keep tabs on it.
