Airtran codes-What am I doing wrong?

I used six different email addresses I made up at gmail.com, plus used my ex's email for good measure for a seventh code. I entered all of them at the airtran site. However, when I went to go check the emails, I received the exact same code back in each email (four numbers) with different certificate numbers. What did I do wrong? I do need six different codes. Right?:confused3
 
You're fine. The coupons all have the same discount code. It's the certificate number that distinguishes individual coupons.

I think that kind of abuse of the system will make AirTran think hard about offering e-mail coupon codes in the future.

Perhaps Airtran expected people would find a way around it, but regardless, it's sort of funny to see Disers, who jump all over someone trying to pool hop illegally or put five in a hotel room for four, trying to take Airtran for a ride. If it's not the Disney Co., all's fair?
 

I'm sure at one point they will stop it. People were doing the same thing the last time the coupon promotion was out and they didn't change anything. I have no idea how successful this promotion was, but if it's bring NEW passengers to AirTran it may be worth the extra $25 pp to them. Which gives me an idea for another thread.....

I disagree. The prices are (in most cases) at their worst when these coupons go out. You're always much better off booking when they are advertising reduced fares.
 
Not necessarily. I've found AirTran's best fares aren't advertised at all. You find them by looking through by dates. They're just there on the schedule. But you have to be looking at a specific date. Seldom is there any mention of them.

I have to disagree too. We have 7 email accounts, 7 flyers and all 7 of us have a frequent flyer account number. We got 7 coupons. I just used them again for the second time this year. We actually got ours automatically before the website offered them.
