No reservations available after 10/31. Anybody know if that is it for Airtran?

The goal is the end of 2014 so I would expect that they may have some flights in the 4th quarter but probably nowhere near a full schedule. They may be delaying the 4th quarter announcement just to see how many they can get "transferred"

One of the big hang ups is the "retrofitting" of the AirTran flights to remove the elite cabin etc....

They have been releasing new dates the same day as SW. SW will open 11/1 to 1/4 on May 19th.

The A+ Rewards program ends November 1. So it very well could be the last day of AirTran. I believe their union contract requires them to close by end of 2014.

SWA has announced, at least to the employees, that the last day that AirTran will fly is Dec 28, 2014. However between now and that date AirTran's flying will continue to be reduced. For example starting in July SWA will begin to do the international flying that AirTran is doing.

It makes sense to move everything to the SW website. When I was checking for a SW flight yesterday, the counter agent was explaining to the lady next to me that she had to pay for bags on her AirTran flight because she booked it through AirTran. If she would have booked it on SW they would have been free.
