I just noticed that they have extended their schedule out to October 4th. They were only out until Sept 6 before.

Hope this helps someone. I am waiting on mid-October dates.

So what are the rates like so far?

Airtran always seems to have goofy times with their nonstop, though. At least for me...I prefer to take the first flight out in the AM leaving MSP. Now I haven't paid attention for a while, but last I saw, their nonstop from MSP-MCO left in the early afternoon.

I'm flying them the first time in July to MDW for a conference.

Right now, their MSP-MCO nonstop is right around noon. The MCO-MSP flight leaves at almost 9am! Pretty early for me, but may work for our trip in October.

They are currently at their normal $99 each way right now. $222.90pp with taxes and fees.... though it is slightly lower if you go nonstop each way... the price I quoted is with a plane change in Atlanta on the way down...

Hello -
you seem to be very knowlegeable about the MSP airport. I live in Green bay area, but mom is in Eau Claire. I am considering flying out of MSP to MCO for our December trip. (need a sitter for the dog, mom offered)

What airlines are an option for me? DH likes Non-stop? Thanks!!! Sorry for asking such a silly question.

Non-stop you are looking at NWA, Sun Country, and Airtran. SC typically has one non stop first thing in the morning (or two if it is a busy time of year to go to Florida). Airtran offers one non-stop around noon and NWA offers a few.

You can also look at charter airlines that book via www.worryfreevacations.com or www.tgvacations.com Both have non-stop charter type flights. You can find good deals on them, at times.

My preferences is Sun Country. I like their flight times, but their flight costs have been a bit high the last 6 months or so. I am giving Airtran a whirl in October (once later Oct flights come out) due to the wonderful Wendy's Airtran points.

Hope this helps. You can also get info about MSP at http://mspairport.com/msp/
