Airtran and drinks

We flew on Airtran for the first time this week. They come around with drink service twice during the flight. Is this normal of Airtran or are the all airlines doing this now since you can't bring bevarages onboard?

I usually fly Airtran, and it is not typical for them to come twice. Most of my flights are pretty short though...1 1/2 to 2 hours, so they might do it on longer flights.

Our flight was 2.5 hrs.

On other airlines, I have been offered drinks twice..... the first time they come around and offer a drink, then the second they see if you need a refill after your meal or snack... my flights are just over 3 hours...

I will find out about Airtran in two months......

I've noticed several different airlines have drink service twice when we fly from Indy to Las Vegas so maybe it has to do with the length of the flights.

We flew Airtran in July, first flight about 2 1/2 hours, second flight about an hour. We got drink service 1 time per flight.
