Airtours/My Travel - upgrade

Wow - 2 posts in an hour! Has anyone gone for the upgrade to Premiere Gold this year? Was it worth the extra £179. Trying to convince my DH that it'll be worth the extra leg room; wider seats; at front of plane; luggage off first and special check-in. BUT I need some reassurance (or not!).

I flew with them in June. I had only booked standard economy with Mytravel but upgraded at check-in on the outbound flight. We stayed in standard for the return.

Having experienced both of them I'd say that Premiair Gold was worth the money. The flight back was uncomfortable, and cramped (and I'm only 5'3"!)

I liked the fact that Premiair Gold was a lot quieter than the main cabin, you get free drinks all flight and other little things like getting free headsets for the entertainment!!

The other thing........at both Gatwick and Sanford we had to queue for over an hour to check in which was stressful and irritating. You avoid that if you book Premiair Gold as you can just stroll up to the dedicated check-in desk.

And in the scrum for the luggage at baggage collection it is nice to be able to get out of there asap and be on your way (especially at the Orlando end!)

Well worth the £179.....

I believe you probably do, although as we only upgraded on the day of the flight then it wasn't applicable to us!

Other charter airlines offer 30kg per person for their premium economy so I would imagine it would be the same

Go for it , its well worth the money , you do get increased baggage of 30 kgs
