Are plan is to drive from Springfield, OR to Disneyland because flights seem to be outrageous, but I keep checking anyway. LOL
However, I am not sure what airport would be best. I've heard LAX, Orange County, John Wayne and oh I forget. Actually I don't even know if any of these are the same airport with a different name depending on who you talk to! lol
So my question, which would be easiest to get to HoJo from? What are you experiences with the various airports?

TIA!!
Erika

I know what it feels like to have so many choices and not know what to do...and you have come to the right place!

The 3 best choices for airports close to Disneyland are 1) LAX, 2) Santa Ana (aka SNA, John Wanye and Orange County and 3) Long Beach.

I have flown into each of these airports and handsdown, I prefer Long Beach and SNA over LAX.

LAX is huge, and the farthest away. Each time I have flown into LAX it stresses me out...lots of traffic! UGH!

SNA is great, however it is usually the most expensive airport to fly into.

Long Beach is about the same distance as SNA - but it is tiny and easy to get in and out of..and if you are renting a car it is super easy too. Jet Blue flies into Long Beach and they are having great deals right now. I'm not sure if they fly out of Portland, but you could check.

Hope that helps a bit. :goodvibes

You could also take the Amtrak down form Springfield. We are leaving Albany that way. It is a longer trip, however, we don't have to drive, no limits to the amount of baggage we can take and the trip was a quarter of the cost of flights.

We always fly to John Wayne airport. Also called SNA, Orange County, Santa Ana.

Short answer - which ever one is cheapest! :rotfl: That is why we chose LAX in October. It was fine.
