Airports

Hello. DH and I, along with our boys, drive to DL whenever possible. Sometimes because of work schedules, he has to fly one or both ways. On this trip, my mother will actually be driving with us there, but flying home. I usually buy her and DH tickets into and out of LAX, because it has always been cheaper. This does not seem to be the case, so I was wondering, is SNA closer to DL? Is it conveient to get in and out of? I can get a really good deal on a ticket for her from that airport.

Yes--SNA is close, very convenient and very easy to get in and out of

Im sure someone with more experience will also answer you, but from what I have learned, if it is a good deal in/out of SNA buy it!

SNA is the closest airport to DLR and is preferred by most DIS members. Very easy to get in and out of. Nice and small and convenient!

I will second that, and from personal experience SNA is much quicker, closer, and cleaner. I love to fly into SNA...especially if it is the same or cheaper!

I am glad, I thought that's what I had heard! JetBlue, less than any other rate, and nonstop. Plus, they don't charge for your first piece of checked luggage! I cannot believe that is happening now.

The plane wouldn't leave until 5:00pm, so the morning could still be in Disneyland!

By the way long beach is the next closest 5 miles further than SNA

hmmm...jet blue doesn't fly into SNA...you're right, only LGB.

You guys are right, it's LGB! Ooops! lol Still the best rate though, and as long as it is close and not a terrible airport we are going for it.

LGB is a great airport as well. Very small and you will deplane by stairs (no jetways). Very easy to get in and out of. Taxi's and shuttles can be a few dollars more than SNA. And the Disney Express bus doesn't run from LGB either. But other than that, it's my second favorite airport next to SNA.

Thank you Danger! I am just going to be dropping off for a one-way this time, so it sounds great. Does anyone have an idea of how long it would take to get from the HoJo to LGB on a Tuesday afternoon?

i love Jet Blue you will be very pleased! LB airport is very small so don't expect much to see while waiting there , but so small it is no hassle to get in and out of! I'll be flying there next trip and if I cant get some one to pick us up I am thinking of just getting a taxi , after the rate quotes i have got from shuttle services taxi seems the way to go , faster and a tiny bit cheaper. Flat rate should be $40.00.
