I will be joining friends at YC in 37 hours! (Can you tell I'm excited?) I'll need transportation to the resort. What do you recommend? I have used Mears travel, but have waited for the bus to fill up for over an hour before leaving the airport (missing qaulity park time!) Suggestions needed!

but costs around $ 80.00 (not counting tip) which is a lot compared to the $ 27.00 for Mears. I think my son and I are going to use Mears to save money. We hope the wait won't be too bad since we are going the week after Thanksgiving.

I would be interested in how much a cab would cost? Does anyone know?

Help! Still need advice.... How much for a taxi? Or Tiffany? Any other suggestions?

Thanks

I've heard a taxi is in the $40 range each way. Unlike Tiffany, you will be on the meter if there is a traffic problem. If you want a low price, use Mears. If you want convenience, use Tiffany.

I've mentioned this before in other threads, but I highly recommend Transtar. They use smaller shuttle vans which only sit 14 people, and they really are good at coordinating so that people are dropped off to hotels in the same area. They have a $4.00 coupon available on their website www.transtar1.com which makes roundtrip to Disney area $23.00 per person. My DH and I have never had a problem and feel that they are much better than Mears - especially since they hardly ever make you wait very long. For example, 2 weeks ago we arrived at the airport on a Wednesday morning, we immediately purchased our Transtar shuttle tickets and within 30 minutes we were already checking into our hotel! Good luck.

I haven't used Tiffany but two of my friends have. They are about as picky as they come about getting a good deal and getting quality for their money. Tiffany is $75 if you use their coupon off the internet. The site is:

Good luck!

The orlando city bus picks up at the airport if you don't have much luggage. It leaves about every 1/2 hour. Only costs about $1.10 but you do have to transfer at the main bus station. Theres information and a link at mousesavers.com. I think it takes a little over an hour to get to Disney.
