Airport Transfers with a Baby

We're staying at DLH for 2 nights before our MR Cruise in January. Our flight gets in to LAX at 10pm. We were originally going to do Super Shuttle but have decided to look for an affordable private car to take us so it's more direct. Does anyone know of a good service? I know Super Shuttle has options for private cars for about $75. Is that the way to go? Is there a service that will provide a car seat for my 12 month old? I'm a little nervous to just hold him, and we're not traveling with our own carseat. Appreciate any input!

We used Zippy Shuttle on our last trip. It is nothing fancy - just a 15-pax van - but it was clean, on-time, courteous drivers, and they brought car seats in case we needed them. (We had our own.)

I don't think you even have the option of just holding your 1 yr. old in a private car. If it is a bus, he does not need a car seat, but if it is a car or van you will need a car seat by law. It does not cost any extra to check a car seat (at the gate or at the regular check in) I sure wouldn't trust a car seat that some shuttle company brought along to use.

Just from experience, it is not fun to have to lug around a car seat that you need once at your destination....

I wanted to mention we also used zippy shuttle last week. It was interesting cause I asked when booking if they provided carseats/boosters and they said yes, but that it'd be $10. We decided to bring our own, when we were getting in the car and I was placing our seat the driver mentioned they had a seat that we could use, didn't sound like they would charge use for it since we had already paid. Anyway, it looked to me like the shuttles had a seat in the back that they kept there just in case. Of course there's always a chance they forget to bring one, but seemed to me like they always bring it.

BTW, Zippy is a private van, not a shuttle where you have to share with people.
