I have never driven in Orlando. Is there just one way to get to our hotel? Or a way we should avoid?

While there are alternative ways to get there, here's how I'd suggest going since this is your first time driving there and it's a fairly easy drive this way...

Take the North Exit route from the airport to State Route 528 (a toll road) going west toward Disney and Orlando.

Continue on SR 528 for about 10 miles to its end at I-4 and take I-4 West (toward Disney and Tampa).

Stay in the right lane on I-4 and take the very next exit (Exit 68), staying in the right-most lane (the I-4 portion of the trip is about 2 to 2 1/2 miles).

Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto SR 535 and continue about a half mile to Palm Parkway.

Turn right onto Palm Parkway about another half mile to the Comfort Inn on the right.

Happy Driving!

Thank you so very much! If I may ask for more directions...we will just be going to MK and Epcot while there. I am assuming there is just one way to both. Is that correct?

Google Maps

The Comfort Inn is on the right (you might have to pan right a bit or click the << button to expand the size of the map). Exit out back down Palm Pkwy and turn left onto Apopka-Vineland Rd. Turn right at the Disney sign (this will wind past the hotels at DTD and turn into Buena Vista Blvd) and then just follow the signs to Epcot or MK.

Plenty of traffic lights to go through at DTD but shouldn't be too bad. I'd be tempted to hop on I-4 and get off at the next exit but that's just me. :)

The easiest way is as JDUCKY suggested...

Turn left out of the Comfort Inn parking lot onto Palm Parkway, get into the left lane and go a half mile to the traffic light at SR 535, turn left onto SR 535 and get over into the right lane.
Turn right onto Hotel Plaza Boulevard (it's the next traffic light, about a quarter mile from Palm Parkway).
Then just continue straight(ish). Hotel Plaza Boulevard becomes Buena Vista Drive and goes past the Downtown Disney complex. From there on out just follow the signs - Disney does a terrific job with signage so even if you miss one opportunity to turn to go to a park there will be more signs and more opportunities to get where you want to go. Epcot is about 4 miles from where you first see Downtown Disney and the Magic Kingdom parking lot is about 6 miles from Downtown Disney. Probably the easiest way to Epcot, using Downtown Disney as your orientation point, is to continue about a mile and a half on Buena Vista Drive and then turn right at the traffic light onto the road that goes to the Port Orleans and Old Key West resorts (there's signs at the intersection but I can't remember what the road name is), go about a half mile then turn left to get onto Epcot Center Drive. Then just follow that to the Epcot parking lot entrance (maybe a mile). Though a couple more miles it's even easier than that to the Magic Kingdom - just continue on Buena Vista Drive from Downtown Disney for about 3 miles (you'll go past entrances to a number of resorts - Bonnet Creek then Carribean Beach Resort on the left and then BoardWalk, and the Swan and Dolphin on the right) and then turn right onto World Drive to the Magic Kingdom (look for the signs). It's about a mile or so to the parking lot "toll booth" and then you just follow the traffic toward the left and into the parking lot area, attendants will be there directing guests to parking spaces.

On 528 there are 2 tolls. The first is $1 and the 2nd is $0.75. We just stayed at Comfort Inn for 2 nights last week before we could check in to our timeshare. :3dglasses
