Airport question

I know this has been asked a million times but I'm having trouble with the search engine. I am looking into flights from San Jose or Oakland on Jetblue or Southwest. Prices are about the same. Looks like $49 going and $69 return. Only difference is which airport. I can either go to Long Beach, Ontario, or Orange County. Is there one that is better/closer/cheaper shuttle?

Thanks!

While I'm not sure about which has the best shuttle, I would imagine that it would be Orange County. It is also the closest to DLR.

The past couple of times we went to DL, we went to Long Beach. They are a TINY airport which is easy to navigate. Some shuttles (like Disneyland Express) don't go to this airport. Since we travel with 3 people, we found the $40 taxi was the most cost effective method of getting to DL.

I love LGB ~ I've only flown into that airport and LAX, and I very much prefer LGB. We do not rent a car, we have a driver or a taxi take us to our hotel and back to LGB for our return flight ~ the cost is $50 each way.

I wouldn't do ONT at all. Too far away, Super Shuttle is the most expensive from there, there's just no value in it.

If you're willing to do San Francisco, you could also check Virgin America. Though actually since they (and Alaska as of July I believe) are charging for the first bag, all they've got over SW is incredibly gorgeous and CALMING plane interiors. And David Bowie contests while waiting to board the plane. And music at the gate. Other than that, SW wins b/c of the no fee for bags (I didn't enjoy our roundtrip on JB so they are "out" for us).

I'd go for Orange County if all prices are equal, absolutely!!!! SuperShuttle is the cheapest for that airport (if getting a quote or making a reservation online, use the name of your hotel, NOT the zipcode, b/c zipcode yields higher fares).

I am going to recommend SNA (Orange county) because its the closest and has Super Shuttle which will take you to your hotel. You can also arrange for them to pick you up at your hotel on the day you leave and bring you back to the airport.

We flew into SNA (Orange County) last year and we are flying into it again this year. It was very clean and easy to navigate and it is the closest to the DLR.

Orange County. I flew into Long Beach for a work trip and on the way back, our flight got cancelled. Since it was the last flight of the day, we had to bolt to John Wayne. There are more flights in and out of. Transportation to DL area better from John Wayne, too.

SNA and LGB are about the same distance to DLR, but if you are going to rent a car LGB is the easiest drive to DL. Otherwise SNA has more/better options for shuttles, including the Disneyland Express bus. ONT, on the other hand is almost as far away as LAX and only has the shuttles (Supershuttle etc) and no DL Express.
