Just booked a late September trip, thanks to the great Southwest fares. Because we are flying into Orlando late, and leaving early on our departure day, I want to book something cheap near the airport for the first & last nights of our trip. Cheap is the operative word (though clean would be nice too). Since we're arriving at 10:40 pm, and our departure flight is at 8:20 am, we just need a bed! I'd like someplace with a shuttle, as I'm leaning toward not renting a car this trip. Any suggestions?

Nevermind - after I posted this I decided to try Priceline - got the Marriott Airport for the first night and La Quinta Airport West for the last night. I tried to delete the post, but it wouldn't let me.

I'm not familiar with the airport hotels in Orlando, but I got great deals thru priceline on airport hotels be Newark and Phila.

When asked for the area in Orlando....just click on the airport area....and select the number of stars. We got 4 stars for both our trips between 50 -60 dollars.

For anyone else reading this thread... you can also use Hotwire. The amenities are listed before you buy: getting a free breakfast or suite type hotel might be worth paying a little more than bidding with PL>

The airport Marriott is nice. We have stayed there on arrival night twice before and will be doing so again on Aug 20th.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Amerisuites at the airport? I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights before our cruise. In order to get a super airfare we had to fly in on Friday afternoon. We have 6 kids and really wanted 2 bathrooms. We also got free breakfast and they have a kitchen in the room for light cooking. I am hoping it willb e as nice as the Amerisuites up here in Illinois. I have never had a dirty room or bad service there. Thanks..Melissa

Oh yea, I got the rooms from Hotwire for $43.00 each.

Hi we stayed at the Hilton Garden in using Hotwire .. It was a nice place but no food on site altho the shutlle would bring you to a few in the immediate area.. Michlele
