We will be flying in late on the 16th of April and need to stay over at an airport hotel so that we can join up with our friends who are arriving in the morning of the 17th of April. Any recommendations on a hotel? A shuttle to and from the airport will be necessary and since it is the beginning of our vacation I am hoping the hotel will be nice enough to set the tone for the rest of the week - if you know what I mean.

Any recommendations?

We stayed at the Airport sheridan suites and would do it again.
The room are small with a seperate pull out sofa bed and tv in one room. The other room had a king or two queen beds, one bathroom, TV and a door to close betwen the two areas.

I have 2 suggestions you might want to consider. The first is Embassy Suites, Airport. They have a complimentary airport shuttle and full breakfast included in rates (usually around $90/night). Nice hotel, on the better end of the Embassy Suites we have stayed at.

My second suggestion would be to bid on a 3* room in the MCO area on Priceline. The 3* hotels in that area that they book at are: The Hyatt inside the airport, the Holiday Inn Select, Marriott and Renaissance hotels. They all have complimentary shuttles to/from the airport and are fairly nice. They usually go for around $40/night including taxes and fees on Priceline. All are much more expensive if booked directly. We usually do that and have been placed at the Hyatt. HI Select and Renaissance. All were fine for an overnight stay. We have not stayed at the Marriott, but it gets good reviews.
