After lots of stressful decision making we finally decided to switch from our Sept land/sea to the 7 day Aug 24 cruise (to avoid taking DS7 and DS5 out of school). So I had to rebook (lost the early dinner seating:( ) Now I have new questions. It will be a long day flying from the west coast - the day before the cruise. Should we stay at an airport hotel and then use Disney transter in the am, or is it better to go the Radisson for that night? And what would be the least stressful way to get to the Radisson?

Did you book your air through Disney? If so, they should be putting you up at the Airport Hyatt. Otherwise, I'd probably head out to the Radisson. After all, since you'll still be on West Coast time, you'll probably have more energy during the East Coast evening than you would the next morning.

Least stressful way to get there would be to book a town car service.

Personally, after all the bother of flying in, I like to stay at a hotel by MCO and head for the port in the morning. We have had great luck getting MCO hotels for very reasonable rates via Hotwire (Amerisuites for $33) and Priceline (Rennaisance and LaQunita for $28 each). They have a free shuttle, so we take that from the airport and then take Happy Limo to the port in the morning. We get a good night's sleep and still arrive plenty early at the port.

we just did the radisson for our 3/9 cruise..it was very nice..and with a coupon on a website we paid $69..compared to 149 last year..and we got there just in time for the rocket being launched..but then you have to rent a one way car..budget is near...but avis is in the hotel..we paid around $60 for the car..this is not a bad option..have breakfast and then have avis/radisson take you to the port..just one less headache that morning..

Wol...tough call. I say it depends what time your flight arrives. If it is late you may want to get a hotel at AP. In our situation, our daughter and family will be flying in from Seattle to meet us for our family cruise. We all plan to fly in the day before, rent vans at the AP fr Avis and do the 1 hr drive to Radisson. This will allow the rest of the day to unwind, relax, visit and get a good nights sleep. Next morn take the Radisson shuttle a short hike to the ship :)

Our plan is to fly in the day before to avoid any stress. I don't want to worry about any unforseen flight delays etc plus we are traveling with a 14 month old. We are staying at the Sheraton by the Airport and then Yourride is picking us up the next morning and taking us to the ship. We got a great deal (a suite with king size bed for 69.00).
