17 days till we go!!

Need some advise - I generally pack just clothes and buy all toiletries at Boots in Gatwick (past security), and then just have that as another carry on bag.

We don't drive so this is the easiest way of getting shampoo, etc. We are staying at POFQ and the Disney shop is v expensive.

After the incident on a plane at Xmas (terrorist with explosives taped to his body), I thought I read that there were restrictions on carry on bags. Is this the case or is it still one bag each and then whatever you can carry after security?

Please let me know.

Thanks

Are you flying direct or indirect? If indirect I read that there are the same restrictions on your hand luggage so won't be able to bring the liquids onto your connecting I flight. I usually pack mine in the hold luggage - just ensuring they are in plastic bags in case of leakages.

Thanks.

We are flying direct from Gatwick. Don't want to pack them as we are tolling to get below 23kg each as it is. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, sun cream, deodorant, hair get, hair mouse etc etc for 3 people for 2 weeks can weigh a ton!

You are only meant to take on one piece not weighing any more than 6kg - so if you can get it in that you will be fine.

Personally I always pack it all in the case but then we tend to travel out with half empty cases!

Thanks.

Don't take full bottles of these things. Decant or save your half full ones to take. Pack into the hold baggage in a ziplock. :goodvibes

But I use 2 bottles of a conditioner in a fortnight!!

Thanks for all the advise, I will pack the cases wisely then buy small amounts at Gatwick and pack it into the carry on.

How many times a day do you wash your hair? I think you might be using too much! :rotfl:

ETA Who are you flying with? Not all airlines have a 6kg restriction on hand luggage - I think BA will let you take anything you can carry as long as it's within their size guidelines.

:scared1:Wow! Maybe you could ship a box to your resort? ;)

Seriously though, you know what you use so I won't tell you what not to take. Do you ever take a taxi off site for a day? You could maybe take enough shampoo for the first few days and then plan in a shopping trip or something. HOw many of you are going and for how long?

Its 3 of us for 2 weeks.

Think I will take less in the carry on, and stockup in Boots and put in there, so we all still have one bag each.

I have v dry, long hair, hence the need for all the conditioner!

Thaks all :)

Now surely your DW wouldn't want to pass up an opportunity to make a few additional purchases .....? ;)
