airport fee

i noticed when checking for a rental car there is an airport fee added on of almost 20$. Is that for all rental cars or only those in directly at the airport?

If you rent at the airport or take a shuttle from the airport to rent, they will hit you with this fee.

Take a taxi from the airport to the rental agency and then you will not be charged this tax. I think they are suppose to charge the tax to anyone who has arrived on a flight within 48 hours.

I don't recall paying that fee last year at alamo. Our week rental was pretty cheap and I think I would remember an additional 15-20 dollars tacked on.
